JOB DESCRIPTION:
- This role is a stand alone self managing position based in Waalre, reporting to a Supervisor based in Germany
- Managing payroll for multiple countries
- HR Representative will work with benefits enrolments, benefits administration, as well as communication of benefit changes
- Conducting new hire orientation for new employees throughout region
- Participating in regional communication planning for management as policies and benefits are announced
- Dealing with multiple countries, including Netherlands, UK, Germany, France and Poland, sometimes also multiple business units
- Interacting with various functional HR partners including: Compensation, Benefits, Employee Relations, Staffing, and Learning Centre
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Must have minimum 3 years solid HR experience, preferably experience with various European countries and payroll for multiple countries
- Prefer candidate to have experience working with a US based company
- Candidate must have experience working with multiple HR partners and possess good coordination skills
- Self-sufficient, tries first to resolve an issue on own
ADDITIONAL SKILLS:
- Must be fluent in English and Dutch (oral and written). Further European languages like French and German are very welcome
- Must be excellent communicator, able to multitask and work in an advisory role to middle managers
- Knows when to seek assistance or guidance
- Ability to discern between hard and fast rules vs standards or guidelines (flexibility is key!)
- Strong knowledge of email protocol (when to be formal vs casual, checking spelling, grammar, accuracy.)
- Comfortable with web-based programs, Outlook, MS Word, Excel, etc.
- Understands HR resources in order to forward questions to the right people
- Strong customer-service orientation. Willing to go the extra mile (or two!) to make customers feel comfortable
- Takes initiative to improve processes used by HRAs.
- Respectful of process changes, at least to try them out and then share feedback on their effectiveness
- Hands-on mentality, pro-active and self driven, used to using own initiative
- Proven time management skills
- Ability to communication within several cultures
- Good sense of humour
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent required in Business, Psychology or Human Resources
