EutelTRACS - System Overview

EutelTRACS uses a dedicated, satellite based wireless communication system that provides highly reliable and fully secured communication across Europe. The network is only used for the Transportation industry and offers a cost effective and a high quality communication between transport back-office locations and all the vehicles in the entire fleet. Load assignments, vehicle positions, status reports, delivery details, driver hours, reefer monitoring, driver behavior analysis are just a few of the many real time information details that can be generated and supported by the EutelTRACS Fleet Management System.

Data messages are transferred from the Transport company to Qualcomm's Network Management Center (NMC) via Internet or landline, then sent to the vehicle via the communications satellite.

The vehicle uses the communications satellite to send messages to the NMC, where the message, as well as the vehicle's location, is then forwarded to customer. The vehicle¹s position is determined by GPS and provides a highly accurate location.
